Mafi ("Mafi", "we", "us") is an AI money coaching app published by Inneraktive. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how we protect it. We built Mafi to give you control over your money — and that starts with respecting your data.

  • Mafi does not connect to your bank and never moves your money.
  • The financial information in Mafi is what you enter yourself.
  • We never sell your personal or financial data.
  • Your data is encrypted and isolated to your own account.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address (used for one-time-code sign-in) and the display name and currency you choose during onboarding.

Financial information you enter. Mafi stores the income, budgets, spending limits, transactions, commitments (subscriptions and bills), and notes that you add. This information is provided by you — Mafi does not import it from banks or financial institutions.

Coaching interactions. When you chat with the AI coach, your messages and a limited, recent snapshot of your financial data are processed to generate a response.

Voice input. If you log spending by voice, your speech is converted to text so it can be parsed into a transaction. We do not retain voice recordings beyond what's needed to process the entry.

Device & usage information. We collect limited technical and usage data — such as app interactions, device type, and diagnostics — to keep the app reliable and to improve it. If you opt in, we send push notifications using a device token.

Purchase information. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status, but we never receive or store your full payment card details.

Mafi's coaching features are powered by third-party large language model providers. When you use the coach, the relevant text and a recent snapshot of your financial figures are sent to that provider solely to generate your response. We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their models. We share only what is needed to answer your request.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate Mafi, under contracts that protect your information, including:

5. Data security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to your own account through row-level security, so other users cannot see your data. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal and financial data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

8. Children's privacy

Mafi is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. International users

Mafi is operated from the United Arab Emirates and your information may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your data remains protected wherever it is processed.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
